The Future of Cancer Treatment, Catalyst Club Drinks Reception, 27th November 2012

The odds of becoming an astronaut – 1 in 13,200,000, the odds of getting struck by lightning – 1 in 576,000, the odds of getting stuck in a lift – 1 in 24,528, the odds of tripping while texting – 1 in 10, and the odds of developing cancer, 1 in 3.

We are at a turning point where cures for cancer are within our reach. Cancer Research UK have the knowledge and the technology to revolutionise the way cancer patients are treated, making personalised medicine a reality for all. Cancer treatment is no longer ‘one size fits all’ – with personalised medicine we will be able to offer the most effective treatment at the most effective time.

I have recently joined the Board of The Catalyst Club which aims to bring together sector leaders and pioneers who have the foresight to join us and bring about this revolution.

It would be great if you could join me, Cancer Research UK’s Chief Clinician, Professor Peter Johnson and acclaimed scientist Dr David Gonzalez de Castro on the evening of 27th November to find out how you can have a global impact on cancer survival.
